REMOVAL PRE AND AFTERCARE

If you don't like it- Remove it!

First off...Congratulations on choosing the route of getting saline removal!!
I know this choice may not have been easy since most of us want to just plop new color over what we already have but this will never work!!
Your healing may be unpredictable and your old color most likely will come back. You risk more scar tissue and wasting money on trying to get results that will never happen.

Trust me...Saline removal is one of the only ways we can try to start fresh with our brows.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

You will get much better results when you properly prep your skin. The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive and non-irritated.
Preparing for your appointment is just as important for good, healed results as post care. Failure to follow pre-care may result in you being sent home the day of your appointment, so please read the following carefully! Here's how to get your skin ready for your brow procedure:

What is the healing process?

Day 1: Removal area will be red, possibly rashy looking.
Day 2-10: Removal area will have a scab over it.
Day 10-4 Weeks post procedure: scabs will fall off naturally. After the scabs have fallen off, skin will appear pinkish. During this time, Vitamin E oil and SPF are crucial!

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE FOR SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL?

Aftercare isn't too complicated however it is critical to follow all  instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results. Please read carefully.

  1. Keep area clean and open to the air. Do not cover with a band-aid or anything else, leave open to air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing. You should not be touching the area at all but if you find yourself needing to please make sure your hands are exceptionally clean.

  2. Clean by blotting area and using saline wipes provided 3 to 4 times a day using a fresh napkin or paper towel. No ice.

  3. Do not soak the treated area in water. You can shower as normal but keep the area out of the shower spray the best you can and do not let the area stay wet for more than a few minutes. It is best to keep it dry but if you do get it wet gently pat dry. Blot with saline immediately following a shower.

  4. No bathing, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or tanning. No exceptions.

  5. Do not disrupt the scabbing process (I.E. No picking, scratching, etc.) all scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.

  6. Topical cosmetics may not be applied over the procedural area to coverup or hide the appearance of the wound until after the brow as completely healed (usually 10-14 days). Cosmetics may contain ingredients that are contraindicative to healing wounds and may contain bacteria.

  7. Treat area with TLC. Do not do anything at all that could cause issues or problems to the treated area.

  8. Once all scabbing has naturally fallen off, apply one drop vitamin E oil 3 to 4 times throughout the day for a minimum of 4 weeks, or until next lightening session. Do not start applying the oil until all scabbing has naturally and completely fallen off.

  9. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off

  • It is important to the process and integrity of the skin that 8 full weeks of healing take place before another lightening session can be done. No exceptions.

  • Results cannot be foreseen, predicted or guaranteed.

  • If you will notice any sign of the infection consult with a doctor
