Fibroblast Aftercare

Caring for your skin properly after a Plasma Fibroblast skin tightening treatment is the key to smooth, even results. This page explains exactly what to expect after your appointment at Radiant Ink in Torrance, CA, plus step-by-step fibroblast aftercare instructions for the first few days, weeks, and months.

FIBROBLAST TREATMENT WHAT TO EXPECT

As with most skin rejuvenation treatments, it’s normal to experience some side effects after Plasma Fibroblast. Swelling, redness, and tiny carbon crusts (dots) are all part of the healing process.

One of the benefits of Plasma Fibroblast is that the downtime is usually much shorter than more invasive procedures, but you still need to plan for visible healing for about 7–10 days.

We do not recommend using cold packs or ice during the main swelling period. Icing can reduce the inflammation we actually want and may interfere with how the treatment works in your skin. If your doctor advises you to use ice, keep it minimal in the first 48 hours and avoid getting the treated area wet.

Here are the most common things you may notice during Plasma Fibroblast healing:

♦ Swelling:

Swelling is very common, especially around the eyes. It usually peaks the morning after treatment and lasts 2–3 days, but it can sometimes last up to a week depending on the intensity of the treatment and your body’s healing response. Sleep propped up the first night and follow your artist’s instructions.

Please consult with your doctor about taking an Aspirin or anti-inflammatory to help with residual pain or swelling in the treated area.

Sleep elevated the first night.

♦ Redness:

Redness typically settles within 7–10 days, but a light “rosy” color can remain for several weeks as new skin forms. This is normal and usually fades with time.

♦ Dry Skin:

The area may feel dry, tight, or slightly rough, almost like a “sandpaper” texture. This is treated tissue working its way out as fresh, new skin regenerates underneath.

♦ Bronzing, Crusting and Small Dark Spots:

During healing, you’ll see tiny brown carbon crusts or dots. The skin can look bronzed or speckled. These dots are part of the treatment and will shed naturally.

DO NOT PICK, SCRATCH OR REMOVE

Removing them early can:

  • Delay healing

  • Cause scarring

  • Create light or dark spots (hypo/hyperpigmentation) that may not go away

Your Plasma Fibroblast aftercare kit and these instructions are designed to support healing and protect your investment. Follow them closely and always contact your artist or doctor if you have any concerns.

These guidelines are for general educational purposes and do not replace medical advice. Always follow the instructions given by your provider and consult your physician before taking any medication.

Spray (AFTER N1 – green bottle)

  • Gently mist the treated skin with AFTER N1 throughout the day to keep it comfortable and hydrated.

  • This is the only product you’ll use for the first 3 days, no cleansing until day 4.

Cream (AFTER N2)

  • Starting on day 4, apply a thin film of AFTER N2 twice a day (morning and evening).

  • Use clean hands and pat it on gently no rubbing or scrubbing.

  • Cleanse the area once daily with lukewarm water using only your fingertips.

  • Avoid tanning beds entirely.

Avoid products that:

  • Contain fragrances, alcohol, or active acids

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SKIN FOR THE FIRST THREE MONTHS

Fibroblast after 3 months in torrance

After the first 7–10 days, most or all of the carbon crusts should have naturally fallen off. Your skin may still look a little pink or fresh, which is normal it’s essentially brand new, rejuvenated skin.

At this stage of your Plasma Fibroblast healing:

  • You can begin using your normal makeup again, as long as the skin is closed and not irritated.

  • Avoid skincare products that contain glycolic acid, strong retinols, or exfoliating ingredients for at least 2 weeks.

You must now treat the area like delicate skin that’s still remodeling under the surface:

  • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ every single day, even if you’re mostly indoors.

  • Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors.

  • Continue daily SPF protection for at least 12 weeks after treatment to help prevent pigmentation changes.

Additional long-term aftercare tips:

  • Avoid other med-aesthetic or surgical treatments on the same area for at least 12 weeks while the skin is healing.

  • Swimming, hot tubs, and saunas should be avoided until your artist clears you (typically 12 weeks and once the skin is fully healed).

  • Smoking can slow blood flow and significantly delay wound healing if you smoke, healing may take longer.

  • A small amount of redness may linger for several weeks or months. It usually takes 4–6 weeks (sometimes longer) for the skin to return fully to its normal color.

  • Any follow-up Plasma Fibroblast treatments will not be scheduled sooner than 8 weeks after your first session.

Following these fibroblast aftercare instructions is crucial. Not following them can lead to poor or even damaging results, including scarring or unwanted pigmentation. We don’t want that and we know you don’t either. This is an investment in your skin and in yourself. 💖
