Lip Neutralization

WHAT IS LIP NEUTRALIZATION?

Lip neutralization is the process of balancing the natural color of the lips. It is a technique used to neutralize any unwanted undertones or discoloration in the lips, such as dark spots, uneven pigmentation, or bluish or purplish hues.

This can be achieved by using specialized pigments and techniques to create a more even and natural-looking lip color.

Lip neutralization is an important first step for clients, who have a lot of coolness in their lips and want to change to a different color.

I like to describe the process as like priming a wall. Before you paint a wall, the color of your choice, you have to prime at first in order for your color to shine bright and evenly.

The same can be said for the lips and permanent make up, if we were to plop on any old color onto the lips before neutralizing them then the chances of that color coming out well is not so great. Most likely it would turn out muddy and undesirable.

Most clients will need 1 to 2 sessions for the best results.

What Is Lip Neutralization Process Like?

When you arrive, please address any questions to me, I will pick out the best color for you based on your lips undertones and how we are going to make them brighter and more even.

Once this has been completed, we will be being our session by numbing your lips.

Once your lips are numb, I will draw your outline and confirm with you on the shape and from there I will begin shading in the color.

I have a deluxe aftercare kit I will go over with you and the procedure from start to finish will take about 3 hours.

Do I Need a Touchup?

Yes, permanent makeup touch ups should be done 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment.

Color may fade as much as 40%-50% within the first 4 weeks of the initial procedure.

The touch up procedure usually takes less time than the initial procedure.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND - You may need your patient cap on with this procedure as sometimes is can take 3 sessions to get your desired results.

AND... sometimes the you may experience some hyper or hypo pigmentations which is normal and part of the process which will subside in a few weeks.

How Long Does It Take to Heal?

Healing time is different for every permanent makeup client. Usually, it takes about 7-10 days for the epithelial crust to form and flake off.

The pigment will then take some time to settle into the skin, a good month should pass and be enough time for the color to "bloom"
